Muffin Tin Monday! (My first attempt)

Well, I was browsing through random Blogs today and came across Muffin Tin Monday! I think its simply a great idea! Defiantly where I have a 2.6 year old & a 9 month old who is just starting to eat pretty much everything we do. So to give it a run to see how Logan enjoyed it I started today. We also do food shopping on Wednesday (which was yesterday) so this will be my 'no theme' for this coming Monday.

So I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on what to buy for these? I know this wont be an every day things because we do eat mac & cheese, chicken nugs & french fries, ect.

Please ignore the old muffin tin, its old. I used left over Elmo liners. This weekend I'll go to the store to get a couple cute silicon ones and silicon cups.

I hope to continue this every Monday (minus this upcoming one).

Top row (L-R)- Circle piece of split top wheat bread, cut up string cheese, & cut up salami
Bottom row (L-R)- M&Ms, pretzels, spoonful of peanut butter, & cut up celery

Mason enjoying his own muffin liner with cut up cheese & salami (he did have Strawberry/Apple Gerber stars too!)

Logan enjoying his first muffin tin meal!

  1. Love it! I have done this in the past when we take the kids on outings and stuff. 6 silcone muffin tins fit perfectly in the organge Sterlite containers I have ( you know the ones Justin MAKES! LOL)

they have lots of good snacks for a dollar there too. You can also put jello cups, pudding cups n other cups right into the muffin tin n u don't have to empty them out so easy clean up. I also get cookie cutters there too n I cut the bread into shapes n make a sandwich from it. Sometimes I do bento type lunches where u cut the fruit n other stuff into shapes you can Google bento n get a bunch of stuff n blogs too. its so fun what u can do with food for little ones! I love it! :) plus it helps with sizes what to give them cuz the muffin tin cups are one cup each. :)
    have fun! :P
