Chunka’s First Birthday!

O good morning birthday boy! That how our morning started along with breakfast and some cartoons.

We didn’t do much in the morning because I went out with my mom to get some things for Conner. But our afternoon was filled with lots of running around, games & prizes at Chuck E Cheese’s

Then we went to Nunnies house for some ice cream cake!

I hope he made a great wish and had a fantastic first birthday!

O where did the year go; Chunka is one!

Happy first birthday to my sweet, chunky, silly, smiley, little baby boy, Mason!

 About this time a year ago Justin and I were heading to the hospital to be induced to have Mason! It was a quick labor (just like the one with Logan), we got there around 9:30am, contractions started around 2pm and he was delivered at 6:35pm! And here we are a year later, it went so quickly!

Let me share 12 facts about Mason in celebrations of him being 1!

1. He loves playing with his brother (Logan) more than anything.

2. He loves to play/wrestle with his daddy.

3. He eats pretty much anything, most definantly fruit!

4. He has 8 cute little teeth (4 top front, 4 bottom front).

5. He loves to dance.

6. He says "ball", "mama", "dada" & "vroom".

7. He loves books.

8. He loves tubby time.

9. He enjoys watching "Super Why" & "The Backyardigans"

10. He is a great little cuddler (when he wants to be).

11. He likes to play with the football & cars but whatever Logan has is always better.

12. He the greatest mamas boy ever! Yes he is a mamas boy and I love it :)

Mason is 10 months!

Cant believe that Mason is 10 months! It has gone so quickly! Seriously. He is growing into a little toddler way to quick!

• He walks, for about a month now.
• I think he is the cutest little walker around!
• He loves to attempt to tackle Logan.
• He has 8 teeth (last time I checked) but is a fussy teether.
• He waves Hi and Bye.
• He says Mama & Dada (not often)
• He enjoys looking through his books.
• He really loves his big brother and loves doing whatever he is doing.
• He loves to jump into a pile of blankets, he is very silly.
• He enjoys cuddling with his mama under his soft blankies!
• He pretty much each everything we eat, minus a few foods.
• He drinks out of a sippy cup but still gets a bottle at night.
• He absolutely LOVES to watch The Backyardigans.
• He enjoys music & he dances all the time!
• He likes to play with the balls, he prefers the football.
• When he plays with his cars he makes the 'vroom' sound. Its adorable.

I still cant believe my baby is 10 months!

I love the faces he makes, definitely this one!!!

1 month goes to quickly.

Today was Masons 1 month check up! I cant believe it has been a month! Well, he is 8 lbs and 15 oz! A porker, I tell you! He is 20.5 inches long. He didn't get any shots today because we are 2 days early. He needs two ultrasounds. One for a small hole in the dimple of his bum. The doctor needs to make sure it is closed all the way through. There is a name for this hole but I forget what he called it. Its prenatal--something. Also I guess (today is the first time Ive heard anything about it) his kidneys seemed folded after he was born (or something), so he wants an ultrasound to make sure they aren't fold anymore (I guess). I'm not sure. I feel awful now for not asking more questions about it. I never even heard anything about his kidneys being folded. But he goes for those two ultrasounds in a couple weeks. I hope my baby is alright.

He is now up to 4-6 oz every 4-5 hours. He slept for 6 hours last night. It was great! I was so refreshed this morning when I woke up. I was able to get out of bed to so easily when he woke up for a feeding.

Today we also went to the Aquarium! It was a great time. I have to up load my camera and edit the pictures then I will post some. Logan was so excited for everything! He kept saying "daddy, daddy, fishies! Daddy, daddy, turrrtttttllllleeee!" It was so cute. He is so smart!

Then we went to Mimi and Papas for some poker! It was a good time. It always is a good time when we are there! Logan loves them all! He asks about them almost every day!

Well, that's it. Off to bed now that it is 2am! Yikes, I'm going to be pooped in the morning!

P.S. Today is my husbands birthday! So Happy Birthday Babe, I love you!

A simple awww

I woke up today and realized how big Mason has gotten. He is really growing into himself. He is an amazing baby. Today he has been awake more than usual. He has a lot of wake periods which I'm not going to complain about. He is such a great baby. He also holds his head great for 3 weeks. Also today he was pushing up on his feet into a standing position. I love watching him grow and learn everything!

Just wanted to awww over my baby boy. I just cant get enough of him!

He is growing to fast.

3 weeks =[ So sad but so great. Mason is 3 weeks today. He has grown and change (although he is still in his newborn clothes) so much in the last 3 weeks.

He now has developed a pretty awesome schedule. He sleeps pretty much from 1am to about 7am. He also has a couple periods through out the day that he is awake. He is very alert and loves to look around to figure out all the sounds around him. He holds his head great. We do tummy time at least once a day. However he still has his block tear duct and a bad cough. He coughs up mucus and I just feel so bad. At times he coughs so hard and so much he spits up. For the past few nights I have him sleeping in his car seat. He seems to do better when he is sitting up.

But all in all he is doing great. I just cant believe he is 3 weeks. 1 more week & he'll be a month. How time flies.

Logan has been wonderful lately. His schedule is going great. I enjoying doing flash cards and reading with him. He is beginning to really listen. Justin and I read him a story or two to him before every nap and bedtime. Him going down for naps and going to bed at 8:30 has really helped with everything from his attitude all day to my saneness for the day. He is beginning to pick up on more words and repeating things back. I cant believe his going to be 22 months in a couple weeks.

How time has flown for both my boys. I'm really treasuring every moment I can with them even when I get upset.

Justin and I have been looking for an apartment. We found one we really liked and put our application in but we got denied. So our search for the perfect first place for us is still on.

2 weeks has passed so quickly.

Mason is 2 weeks today. He is such a great baby. He is very mellow and can sleep through anything!

I believe he has a cold and a blocked tear duct. His eye has a yellow/green discharge. I feel bad. I have to call his pedi in the morning.

He did his first up the back poop today. It wasn't pretty nor fun to clean up so Justin and I put him in the bath! Fast and easy clean up.

But I cant believe its been 2 weeks already. I'm really enjoying him the most I can because I now understand when people say they grow up so fast. I treasure every moment I can with Logan and Mason. They are great boy although Logan is hitting his terrible twos!

Speaking of Logan, we are working on a new schedule. So far it has been going well. He has been doing great with going to bed at 8:30. That is 1.5-2 hour bedtime cut! I love it. I now have time relax, shower, clean up and get to bed at a decent time. Just now we need to start working on his screaming. Its really getting to me. I'm not sure what to do to help control it or have him stop.

Labor & Delivery

Where did this week go?!
A week ago the newest member of our family joined us! It was a lovey, beautiful yet scary experience! We got induced at 8am last Monday, less than 12 hours later we were holding our baby boy.

Labor progressed pretty quickly for me. Instead of giving you a quick run down I'm going to break it down in time frames for the first day. I wrote down everything that happened durning delivery as well as his first days while we were at the hospital. Lets begin =]

Day one:

7:25am- We got the phone call to head to the hospital. Both Justin and I were very excited yet nervous heading over to the hospital. We both knew by the end of the day we were going to be holding our baby!

8am- We arrived at the hospital. Checked in and got comfy in our room.

9am- The doctor came in to check my cervix. I wasn't dilated and he was pretty high up. The doctor talked to Justin and I about our inducement and began with a small pill. The pill helped soften and dilate my cervix but takes about 4 hours to work.

1pm- We ate lunch! Thank goodness. I was getting so hungry at this point.

1:45pm- I began to feel my first contractions! They were strong just a slight cramping feeling from my back.

2pm- The nurse came in to check my cervix. At this time we were 3-4cm but he was still pretty high.

2:15pm- Justin went home to visit Logan. We both were beginning to miss him a lot at this point.

2:30pm- The nurse came in and began me on pictocen to help my labor progress.

2:45pm- My contractions are starting to become more regular and a little bit stronger.

3:15pm- The doctor came in to talk to me about breaking my water and an epidural. We agreed to break my water around 4 and I'll most likely be getting an epidural. Just waiting for Justin to return from being with Logan.

3:25pm- My contractions are starting to pick up. They are coming from the back.

4pm- Justin returned. Just waiting on the doctor to come in. My contractions defiantly have become regular. Beginning to feel pressure on my bottom.

4:45pm- The doctor came in and broke my water. Instantly my contractions began to hurt! (Hopefully only a few hours left!)

5:25pm- My contractions have become so painful and right on top of each other. I asked for an epidural.

5:45pm- Got the epidural, felt an instant relief but still having some pressure in my bottom area.

6:20pm- The doctor came in to check me again...WE ARE READY TO PUSH!

6:25-6:35pm- We began to push! It wasn't easy pushing. Had a lot of difficulties due to not feeling my legs from the epidural.

6:35pm- MASON ANDREW has arrived with a 2 vessel cord, that was wrapped around his neck once with 2 very tight knows!!! He arrived not breathing, it was a scary couple minuets. I began to cry & Justin became faint. Once they got him breathing again our hearts just melted with love. Mason has long legs with long feet, long arms with long fingers. He has dark hair and dark blue eyes (for the time being). A really cute nose & chin. He weighed 7lbs 1oz!

7:10pm- Mason had his first feeding. He ate 30cc with in 5 minuets! He was a hungry little guy!

7:30pm- Nunna was his first visitor! She adores him so much!

8pm- Mimi is his second visitor! She is so excited to see Mason!

9:30pm- First bath and assessment! Mason loved his bath. He was all smiles when he was getting his hair washed. He is 19.5 inches long!

11:20pm- Masons second feeding, he ate 25cc.

12pm- We put him in the nursery for the night. Justin and I wanted a little sleep.

The second was a busy day for all of us! Logan even came and spent the day with us! It was so nice! We had many visitors and compliments. We met Masons pediatricians. He was great! However Mason has a small hole above his bum, he needs an ultrasound to make sure the hole wont effect him later in life. Mason got circumcised and did wonderfully. It was a very eventful day for all of us.

Our third day in the hospital was a little more relaxed. We didn't have an visitors but that was okay. Logan came and spent a few hours with us. Both I and Mason had to be check from our doctors before discharged. Mason passed his hearing test and his ultrasound for the hole above his bum came back great! Justin and I prepared to go home
It was so nice to be home. Auntie Jen we Masons first home visitor! She just loved him. All the animals in our house were curious to what we brought home. The dog was very protective of Mason.

Masons first night home he slept wonderfully. He woke up twice for feedings.
